FAQs

The list of combi boiler faults can be extensive. However, below are the most common:

• No ignition

• Condensate Pipe Freeze/Blockage

• Pressure loss

• Faulty thermostat

• Faulty gas valve

• Faulty fan

• Kettling

• Water leak

The cost for boiler only installation and full central heating system installation i.e. new boiler, new radiators and pipework can vary depending on boiler make and model, number of radiators, types of radiators, size of the property, customer requirements and boiler fitting location in the property, as fitting locations can vary, from straight forward, easy access, to more complicated.

Below is a rough cost range guide including supply and fit, from low to high:

• For boiler only installation: from £1600 to £4000

• For full central heating installation: from £3500 to £7000

Depending on boiler make, model and fitting location it can take between a full working day to a full working day and next morning.

Depending on boiler make, model, number of radiators, complexity of pipework network, location of boiler fitting, and size of property, it can take between 6 to 8 days.

We strongly recommend adding MAGNACLEANSE® SYSTEM FLUSH when ordering a boiler replacement.

Over time, sludge and limescale build up inside the pipework and radiators due to residue in the mains water supply and rust developing inside the radiators, cause norrowing of the pipework/radiators and make the water circulating inside the system heavy, which puts a lot of pressure on the boiler to pump that heavy water to flow inside the system. This is the main cause for most boiler faults developing.

The industry standard when replacing a boiler is to apply what is named in the industry as "COLD SYSTEM FLUSH", it is an integral part of the intallation when commissioning a new boiler.

COLD SYSTEM FLUSH gets rid of sludge and limescale, but not completely.

MAGNACLEANSE® SYSTEM FLUSH on the other hand cleans the system inside absolutely and completely. Specialist equipment and chemicals are used to ensure complete eradication of sludge, rust and limescale, which in turn prolong the life of the boiler, and greatly reduce faults developing.

We highly recommend ordering MAGNACLEANSE® SYSTEM FLUSH every 3-4 years, regardless whether replacing a boiler or not, to keep the boiler energy efficient, fault free and substantially reduce carbon footprint .

The cost of MAGNACLEANSE® SYSTEM FLUSH is approximately £600
